The website we worked on was built on Squarespace. Our goal was to generate website traffic and possibly leads organically by improving the site’s digital presence. For any contract-based business, one of the most recommended SEO steps is to create local business listings on various platforms.
For Matterhorn Exploration, we created business listings on Google My Business, Bing Business, Yelp, Yellowpages, 411.ca and many other local listing sites. Next, we added alt-text to each of the images on the website and make sure every page has title tags and meta descriptions. Once all these basic steps were completed, the other more technical stuff was to install Google Analytics, set up Google Search Console and add sitemaps and robots.txt.
The final stage was to create a social media presence. So, we created pages on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. The pages were linked with the website. Once all these steps are done, it is highly recommended to work on blogs and have a content calendar. We recommend posting at least three blogs a month and 10 images on each social media platform.
